Jenny Miquelon and Jill Lasota established Duet Dance Academy, inc. in September 2001. Both lifelong dancers and teachers of dance, they have worked to build a dance studio offering unique opportunities in an environment focused on enhancing student skills, technique, musicality, and creativity.
Duet Dance Academy inc. is proud to be more than just a dance studio. They are dedicated to being a positive presence in the Fox Valley community involved with local youth. They are passionate about their skill and motivated to provide the best dance experience possible in a safe, fun-filled environment.
In 2011, D2 Performing Company was formed as a branch of DDA. D2 offers even more to our students with additional productions, special event performances, and competitive dance opportunities.
We are proud to be the only studio in the Fox Valley area that puts together what we’ve nicknamed “Dansicals”- Full theatrical productions unlike the typical dance recital! Beauty & the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, and Peter Pan are just a few of the shows we’ve produced. As a whole studio we put on a new show every spring! In addition, D2 Performing Company produces a second major show each fall.
From ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical, to name just a few, Duet Dance Academy, inc. strives to offer a diverse curriculum for today’s youth and adult. Classes are available for the recreational dancer as well as the serious or competitive dancer. We are one of the largest dance facilities in the Fox Valley area. Our studio boasts five large dance rooms with professional dance floors, a parent waiting area, dining room, a dancer changing room, and Wi-Fi for parents who want to work while they wait. This beautiful studio location is sure to be the perfect setting for your dancer to succeed and share the joy of dance.
Jenny and Jill have worked hard to build a dance studio they now send their own children to. Duet Dance Academy, inc. is a studio that offers the best in dance instruction while continuing to prioritize maintaining a family-friendly, positive atmosphere for all dancers, at all ages and levels.
